Batman (Oct 5-6, 1966)
"Ma Parker"

Women in Prison !
Dynamic Duo in Bondage ! ! !

What's Next ???

The Greatest Mother of Them All. . . .

Ma Parker! Who calls all hoodlums "her boys". . . .

But doesn't like girls or think them worth educating in a life of crime.

Her plan? To take over the Gotham City Penitentiary as the base for her forays.

And her plans for Batman and Robin? Strap 'em into the ELECTRIC CHAIR to fry at midnight!

. . .  Well, the bondage is really quite mild. (It was 60s television, after all.) So don't place too much credence in those headlines up there.

And also, don't place too much credence in the attempt by the webmaster of The 1966 Batman TV Tribute Site to make it look like there's some kind of ill feeling between Tisha Sterling and Shelley Winters. He quotes Tisha out-of-context from her interview in Tom Lisanti's Fantasy Femmes of Sixties Cinema. What sounds (taken out of context) like criticism of Shelley is (read in context) really Tisha's own good-natured laughter at herself as she goes on to say that she and Shelley became very good friends five years later while making A Death of Innocence.

But not to worry about that 1966 Batman TV Tribute Site when you can visit the real Batcave and even drop an eMail to Adam West while you're there!
